FOGSTAND Gallery & Studio is a non-profit art space and creative education centre located in Hualien, Taiwan since May, 2014. FOGSTAND aims to promote and exhibit rigorous creative projects that maintain the ability to channel into a broader emphasis on creative education throughout eastern Taiwan. Attentive to its unique context, FOGSTAND’s primary focus is on bringing contemporary creative practices into a reciprocal exchange with local communities.

FOGSTAND Gallery & Studio will develop their program through the following:

  • Invitational as well as open-call workshops selected to provide educational and entrepreneurial opportunities for both local communities and visitors alike.

  • Commitment to highlighting unaided local cultural practices as well as providing a platform for regional developments in arts, artisan crafts, and heritage.

  • Supporting national and international practitioners by way of programming a rigorous, yet penetrable array of curated projects.

FOGSTAND Gallery & Studio is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, all of whom come together to deliver all aspects of the organization's programme.
